Bug: Ok, Dad, there was this nudist colony - have you heard this one?
a bunch of rambling thoughts, many of which relate to hymns and songs, theology and books, movies and tv, food and fashion, politics and the drama that is my life, but nothing really makes a consistent appearance except pictures.

for the record, he was telling one of MY favorite jokes, which goes like this:
there was a nudist colony full of retired british philosphers. two of the men are sitting on the porch of one of the houses in rocking chairs. one turns to the other and says, "i say, have you read marx?" the other replies, "yes! it's these wicker chairs!"
so it's not scandalous after all. just insanely funny.
